Several alternatives to artificialsweeteners include natural sweeteners suchas agave nectar, Stevia, Xylitol and rawhoney. Some of these natural sweetenershave medicinal qualities. Stevia, from theStevia plant, is known to be beneficial fordiabetics, as it doesn’t spike blood sugarlevels.
